The Story Behind The Name
Artemis Acupuncture
Artemis Acupuncture
The name of my practice has deep roots in my own story and a legacy passed down from my mother.
Before I was born, she wanted to gift me with what she called “moon goddess” qualities, drawing inspiration from Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and protector of women and children.
Artemis became my middle name, symbolizing strength, compassion, and advocacy for women’s wellness.
Early in my career, I worked with women facing eating disorders and mental health challenges, which deepened my commitment to providing a supportive, non-judgmental space for healing. I saw firsthand how essential it is for individuals to feel truly heard and respected in their health journeys.
My practice was created as a safe haven for all people, where their concerns are valued and taken seriously. This foundation in compassionate, attentive care is how I came to focus on women’s health, inspired by a legacy of nurturing and empowerment.
Be well,

The name of my practice has deep roots in my own story and a legacy passed down from my mother.
Before I was born, my mother wanted to gift me with what she called "moon goddess" qualities, inspired by Artemis—the Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, and protector of women and children.
Artemis became my middle name, symbolizing independence, strength, and nurturing care—embodying both fierceness and compassion.
In Greek mythology, Artemis is revered as the protector of young girls, women, and childbirth, often called upon for her care and protective nature. As the goddess of the hunt and wilderness, she is deeply connected to nature, forests, and wild animals, representing adventure, independence, and a profound connection to the natural world.
Known for her autonomy, Artemis symbolizes self-sufficiency and empowerment—a powerful figure of feminine energy, embodying freedom, resilience, and protection. Her dual nature as both a healer and bringer of swift justice reflects the balance of nurturing and strength.
Early in my career, I worked closely with women facing mental health challenges, which deepened my commitment to providing a supportive, non-judgmental space for healing. I saw firsthand how essential it is for individuals to feel truly heard and respected on their health journeys.
Inspired by Artemis and the legacy of women supporting one another, I built this practice to honor the strength and compassion that everyone deserves. This foundation in compassionate, attentive care addresses the diverse health needs of those who seek relief from pain or are striving for wellness and personal growth.
We all thrive when we support one another. At Artemis Acupuncture, I am dedicated to providing a space of genuine care and empowerment for everyone who walks through our doors.
